The Skwachays Healing Lodge is a unique and stunning addition to Vancouver’s urban landscape. This boutique hotel, opened in June 2012, provides visitors with a unique Aboriginal experience. A traditional Northwest coast Longhouse with a forty-foot story pole and laser etched stainless steel house panels sits atop the restored heritage Victorian facade. The street view is remarkable, exciting visitors with a ‘must see’ 3D Aboriginal art installation that extends from the storefront windows into the sidewalk below.

The concept for the lodge is holistic and inclusionary – the Healing Lodge is not just for travelers but has been designed to be a part of the community and to provide a healing centre for Aboriginal artists trying to reclaim their own health and wellness and to do this within a traditionally inspired, sacred healing space. Located at the crossroads of historic Gastown and Chinatown, across from the International Village mall and steps from the Millennium Gate. Five minute walk to Skytrain station, Rogers Arena, Edgewater Casino, and the Queen Elizabeth Theatre. Short drive or bus ride to Klahowya Village and Stanley Park.
