Dennis Thomas from Takaya Tours shares the Tsleil-Waututh Nation word for wolf. The Tsleil-Waututh are Coast Salish people who speak the Downriver dialect of theHalkomelem language. It is a language of the First Nations peoples of southeastern Vancouver Island and of the mainland around the Fraser River Delta and the Fraser Canyon in British Columbia.
Language is an integral part of storytelling. Like our Facebook page to find out when we share more Aboriginal words as we travel British Columbia exploring “Our story. Your experience.“
