Boating

Explore the Sound and Beyond! Your certified Tla’amin guide will share insight into the history of human settlement within the area, revealing age old pictographs, 5000 year old village sites, and stories of the Tla’amin people and their cultural practices. Go a bit further, and experience the beauty of Desolation Sound Marine Park, cruising up the majestic coastal fjord known as Yekwamen, home to the Klahoose First Nation. There are 3.5 hour and 6 hour trips available.

Canoeing

We will paddle through the traditional territory of the Tla’amin people aboard the Cheech Lem Chi Chia, a 35 foot Salish style canoe through Kwoo Kwahk Thys, or the Copeland Islands. Along our journey we will hear songs and stories of the Salish people, and learn of the rich history.

Workshops

Discover the history and culture around Coast Salish weaving techniques; learn the age old art form of traditional cedar weaving. Half day to full weekend workshops are available!
