Nk’Mip Cellars (Pronounced in-ka-meep) is North America’s first Aboriginal owned and operated winery, featuring premium VQA wines and locally inspired cuisine in a dramatic setting overlooking Lake Osoyoos.

This award-winning, world-class vineyard, owned and operated by BC’s Osoyoos Band, features premium VQA wines and locally inspired cuisine in a dramatic setting overlooking Lake Osoyoos.

Winery

The winery was designed by Robert Mackenzie, a Penticton based architect, who has designed four other wineries in the southern Okanagan. The 18,000 square foot winery has the capacity to produce 18,000 cases or 162,000 litres. The winery is equipped to handle approximately 60% red grapes and 40% white. The varietals currently produced are Pinot Blanc, Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Riesling Icewine and a blended Meritage. These grapes come from the Band's own Inkameep Vineyard as well as the vineyard located adjacent to the winery.

The Band shares its history and traditions with those who visit the winery. Tour experiences at the winery at Nk'Mip Resort are enhanced through the architecture, designed and constructed to display native art and artifacts, and enhance the beauty and unique nature of the wild sage desert surroundings.

The adjacent four-season Nk’Mip Resort boasts world-class golf, an architect designed desert cultural interpretive centre that blends artfully into the surrounding desert, a luxurious spa and resort accommodation designed in the Santa Fe style.
