Sts’ailes Lhawathet Lalem (Sts’ailes Healing House) is unique facility that has full dining hall services, accommodations and meeting spaces for your group all under one roof.

Sts’ailes has owned and operated Sts’ailes Lhawathet Lalem (formerly Chehalis Healing House) since November 2001. Lhawathet is the perfect spot to host your community or family gatherings, events, youth camps, business meetings, conferences, seminars and more.

They are a drug & alcohol-free facility, located on 34 acres of pristine provincial Crown land. You will hear the sounds of the Chehalis River in the distance as you breathe in the beauty of your surroundings. You will feel your spirit calm as your retreat begins.


Hotels, Motels and Lodges

The main 21,000 sq ft building is a retreat and meeting space with catering services and accommodation for up to 150 guests (minimum 30). Guests bring their own bedding and toiletries and share one of 16 fully serviced rooms, two of which are wheelchair accessible. The dining hall and main meeting room seat 150. A private meeting room with fireplace seats 20.

Recreational facilities are designed for hours of fun and team building. There are many options including: a 6,500 square foot covered outdoor gym with seating area, a climbing wall, outdoor archery range, a soccer field, volleyball, tetherball and a low-ropes course with a variety of clusters. In the summer, guests can enjoy the gentle river rapids ‘tube’ down the Chehalis River or enjoy other sports, such as excellent fishing, golfing, skiing, boating and wildlife viewing available nearby. Evenings find a welcoming fire at the riverside fire pit with campfire songs, the sharing of stories and a spot to relax.

Cultural Performaces and Workshops

Sts'ailes cultural experiences available to enhance your stay include, drum making, cedar weaving, making a medicine pouch, dream catcher or rattle, add an interpretive nature medicine walk. Add a Coast Salish or Pow Wow cultural performance to create lasting memories for your group.

Events and Festivals

Sasquatch Days are a two-day annual event held in June on the 8th - 9th. Sasquatch Days serves as an opportunity to share Sts’ailes heritage with surrounding First Nations, communities, and guests through war canoe races, medicine walks, cultural boat tours, and artisan demonstrations and sales. This engaging and entertaining experience is further enhanced by Sasquatch stories and discussion from local Harrison investigators and Sts’ailes oral storytellers. There is also the added bonus of a traditional salmon barbeque and cultural celebrations all along the beautiful backdrop of the Harrison Lake.

Fraser Valley Bald Eagle Festival - November – The enormously popular Fraser Valley Bald Eagle Festival is held November in perhaps the most biologically diverse and important areas in British Columbia. Deep in the heart of “Sasquatch Country” you will find North America’s largest gathering of bald eagles. Sts'ailes Lhawathet Lalem is one of the featured venues during the festival. Activities include: Aboriginal artisan market and demonstrations, craft activities – make your own drum and cedar bracelet, eagle walking tour, Sts’ailes welcome and Sasquatch dancers and White Thunder Dance Theatre. Enjoy a taste of culture enjoy the views of the Chehalis River, Sts’ailes salmon Lunch or bannock taco. Interactive fun dances for all to join in - drumming and singing.
