You will experience unmatched camping comforts, delicious healthy meals, endless exploration, and plenty of time to relax. These sea kayaking trips are tailored to your personal interests and abilities. Choose a Base Camp Kayaking Experience, or an Expedition-style Kayaking Tour.

Kayaking

Our 4 to 7-day Base Camp Kayaking Experiences introduce you to this spectacular coastal home of the fascinating sea otter and the Ka:‘yu:‘k’t'h’ (Kyuquot) First Nations people. Whether new to kayaking as part of a family vacation, or a seasoned paddler, the options are plentiful with opportunities to build skills and comfort on the water while finding new limits and curiosities each day.

Our 7 to 9-day Expedition-style Kayaking Tours begin with the comforts and resources at our Wilderness Retreat base camp on Spring Island, before setting out to fully explore the area, visiting numerous sheltered and exposed beaches and Islands, fascinating Aboriginal cultural sites of the Che:k:tles7eet’h’ (Checleset) First Nations’ people, and diverse overnight camping options.

Marine Wildlife Viewing

The daily routines flow with the tides, weather and wildlife. View curious sea otters, sea lions and whales are always a possibility, which may include humpbacks, greys, minkes & orcas. Marine birds in the area included tufted puffins, bald eagles, osprey & other marine birds. Watch for black bears foraging for their dinner along the shoreline, from your kayak. Enjoy the spectacular sunset with giant Sitka spruce trees in the foreground.
